Hinton is preparing to celebrate the holidays

Hinton is gearing up for Christmas with multiple 2022 events. For example, the Ritz Theater is showing several fan-favorite Christmas movies for free over the coming weeks. Hinton’s Hometown Christmas event is happening on Dec. 3

The Hinton Hope Foundation is hosting its annual Christmas concert featuring local talent. According to a recent announcement, the show is scheduled for Dec. 2 at the Summers County Memorial Building. Anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy will receive a discounted ticket price.

Several days after the Christmas Festival, Hinton’s Hometown Christmas is hosting a Cookie Express. Participants will pick up a golden ticket and a collectible Hinton tin between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Dec. 10. After picking up these items, participants will follow the cookie trail where 12 different cookies await. The sweet treats are provided by local businesses in Downtown Hinton. Tickets are $20 each, and there are only 20 available. All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to area toy funds.

For those looking for Christmas portraits, Amanda McPherson Photography is offering mini sessions at the Train Depot during the Hinton’s Hometown Christmas Art Walk on Dec. 10.

Hinton’s Hometown Christmas’s Facebook page is hosting a giveaway. The prize is a collectible 2022 Hinton ornament. To enter, “like” the page, share the original post, invite 10 friends to like the page and comment “done” on the original post. The winner will be chosen after the page reaches 2,000 Likes. At the time of writing, the number is at 1,892.

For more information on upcoming Christmas events, check out Hinton’s Hometown Christmas Holiday Facebook page.
