According to press releases from the Summers County Sheriff’s Office, three people were arrested on drug-related charges in separate incidents between Aug. 24 and 30. The first arrest took place following a drug investigation in the area of Keeney Mountain.
During the investigation, a “large amount” of Heroin and Methamphetamine were seized, according to the press release. Additionally, officers seized three firearms. Following the conclusion of the investigation, officers arrested Diana Cook, 41, of Hinton.
Two days later, on Aug. 26, officers conducted a search warrant that led to the arrest of Mary Cyrus, 31, of Talcott. The press release states that Cyrus was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Fentanyl, Clonazepam and Methamphetamine.
The third arrest happened on Aug. 30 when officers conducted a traffic stop in the Hinton area. According to the press release, officers located and seized what is described as “a large amount of Methamphetamine.” Officers arrested Calvin Mullins, 63, of Pipestem.
