The City of Hinton recently spoke with the Department of Highways regarding the culvert collapse on 17th Ave. and shared an update on the city’s social media. According to the update, DOH has placed around 90 feet of culvert pipe under the roadway to minimize the risk of roadway failure.
Additionally, the update states that the technical drilling for the project is scheduled for completion on Wednesday, Aug. 24. However, the need to continue with the alternating traffic pattern will continue until the entire repair has been completed.
Finally, the City of Hinton’s update noted that DOH continues to monitor the situation.
