The descendants of Austin Ballard Harvey and his wife Mary Ann (Ellison) Harvey met at the Summers County 4-H Camp near Forest Hill on June 18, 2022, for an annual reunion.

After preliminary opening remarks, Lacy Lynn Miller was called on to offer prayer and Henry “Hank” Harvey to lead the flag salute. Greetings and other remarks were made to all those present Myrtle Harvey, age 96, was recognized as the oldest person present. Loren Douglas Harvey, age 86, was recognized as the oldest man in attendance. Mary Allen Harvey, age 89, was noted as the second oldest in attendance

Those who traveled the longest distance to attend the reunion were Rhonda Harvey Treadaway of Austin, Texas and Charlene Harvey Walker of Midway, Utah.

The youngest present were the Webb children.

During the memorial service, some of the deceased mentioned were Glenna Harvey Saunders, Timothy Dean Harvey, Lancy Leroy Harvey and Larry Harvey who had passed since our last reunion. It was noted that Glenna was 102 years old at the time of her death and was prior to her death the oldest living descendant of Austin and Mary Ann Harvey. She loved to attend the reunion when she was able and enjoyed talking family history. The memorial service concluded with a period of silence followed by prayer and singing of Amazing Grace

A short business meeting was conducted and it was decided that we would erect new gravestones for Austin’s infant daughter and three of his siblings who are all buried at the same location. This will be done as soon as we can financially.

Basil G. Adkins, Jr. was called on to ask a blessing on the food that was prepared and catered by Oak Grove Church. After the blessing, each and everyone resorted to the dining hall and all seemed to enjoy the food. Certain precautionary measures were followed in respect to COVID-19.

After lunch, Hank Harvey gave an interesting talk on his experiences as a Civil War reenactor.

The following list may not be a complete list of all those family and friends present, because of some failing to sign the attendance register or else the oversight of this writer. The following family and friends were present:
