Summers County police officers executed a search warrant at a Hinton residence on Tuesday, June 7. Angela Crouse, 33, of Hinton, was arrested on drug-related charges following the conclusion of the search.
According to the criminal complaint, officers discovered 14.43 grams of a “clear crystal substance” that they believe to be Methamphetamine. Additionally, $450 in US currency was found in the home along with two sets of digital scales. Three cell phones and a tablet were also found and collected as evidence.
One of the scales allegedly had Crouse’s name on it. The criminal complaint further states that both scales contained residue from a clear, “crystal like” substance.
Crouse was placed under arrest and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. According to the criminal complaint, after being read her rights and signing the necessary form, Crouse gave an audio recorded statement where she admitted to distributing Methamphetamine.
Following the completion of processing at the Sheriff’s office, Crouse was transported to Southern Regional Jail. At the time of writing, Crouse remains at SRJ, and her bail has not yet been set.
