Pipestem Peaks Zipline Tours Opening Soon

West Virginia’s Most Dynamic Zipline Experience Opens May 13, 2022

PIPESTEM, WV – Imagine flying hundreds of feet in the air under a canopy of leaves, through the mountains and over the gorges in southern West Virginia. That experience becomes a reality when Pipestem Peaks Zipline Tours opens its 2022 ziplining season on May 13. Pipestem Peaks offers breathtaking views from lines that sail cross over the Bluestone River Gorge three times at speeds up to 50 mph. At heights up to 300 feet, views from the zipline extend for a mile across the Mountain State.

The zipline tour begins at the top of the Canyon Rim Center and works its way down to the bottom of Bluestone Gorge as you zip from one treetop platform to the next. The zipline trip consists of 9 different ziplines (exceeding 1,000 feet in length), a cable bridge and a belay system. The trip lasts about 3.5 hours and concludes with a tram ride up from the Mountain Creek Lodge back to where the tour began. Two professional guides accompany a group of eight guests and follow the highest safety standards in the industry. The guides share their enthusiasm and knowledge for ziplining, the history of Pipestem State Park and information on the flora and fauna in the area.

Another source of fun that should not be missed while at the State Park is the Pipestem Adventure Zone. The Adventure Zone offers more fun in one place than you can experience in a single day with adventures you’ve never attempted before. Visitors can choose from 9 exciting activities to create a full-day adventure extravaganza with skeet shooting, laser tag, remote-controlled cars on paved and off-road race tracks, 3D archery, ax throwing, drone flying, miniature golf, disc golf and electric motor-assisted bikes. The Adventure Zone opens its 2022 season on May 20th.

Pipestem State Park is an adventurer’s paradise. Many other opportunities for fun and adventure at Pipestem include white water rafting, horseback riding, kayaking, golfing, rock climbing, mountain biking, a splash park, and an adventure lake.

View all of the Pipestem Adventures activities at www.pipestemadventures.com. Pipestem activities can be booked by calling 1-833-WV-Parks (1-833-987-2757) or visiting wvstateparks.com. Some activities require advanced reservations and other considerations.
