The entire area of Summers County is at the high fire danger level today. Use extra caution with all flames, lit cigarettes and any other sources of heat and fire.
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for elevated fire weather conditions through 6 p.m. According to the statement, “Very dry conditions are expected this afternoon.” Additionally, wind speeds are expected to gust into the 15 to 20 mph range at times.
