William (Bill) Pack, 89, of Forest went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 7, 2022.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ann. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Pack and wife, Sonja of Centreville, VA, and Daniel Pack and wife, Lori of Matthews, NC; sister, Wanda Davis and husband, Gene of Hinton, WV; a brother, Steve Pack and wife, Rita of Hinton, WV; a sister-in-law, Ede Olsen of Forest; six grandchildren, Ashley, Chad and wife, Rachel, Krista, Kelsey, Andrew, and Justin Pack; and two great-grandchildren, Rhett and Callen Pack.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Joan Hill; and brother-in-law, Leroy Hill.

Bill was born March 20, 1932, in Beckley, WV, a son of the late William Pack, Sr. and Norene Walthall Pack of Hinton, WV. Bill honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 7 years. He managed the bookstore at Bob Jones University after graduation, and then retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 28 years as a Financial Analyst. He was also a faithful member of Timberlake Baptist Church for 56 years.

Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his wife, sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, camping, woodworking, and working out in the yard around his home. He faithfully served his Lord at Timberlake Baptist Church as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and pianist for many years.

The family received friends one hour prior to the service at 12 p.m. March 11 at Timberlake Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life was held at 1 p.m. March 11 at Timberlake Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan Ferrell officiating. Interment followed at Virginia Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Timberlake Baptist Church, Timberlake Christian School, and Bob Jones University.
