The Summers County Library recently announced that they have reached their funding goal for Project Buggy Buddy. They have already begun purchasing the wagons and are looking for input on the best style.
In November, the library announced that they were starting a new program called Project Buggy Buddy. The way this program will work is that they purchase a fleet of collapsible wagons. These wagons will then be rented out to patrons in the same manner as books. The intended purpose of the carts is to provide a way to easily carry groceries home when walking to and from the store. When finished, the wagons are returned to the library.
The initial funding goal was $1200. On Wednesday, Dec. 8, the library announced that they had met that goal. They have purchased a few different styles of wagons and are hoping to get feedback to help guide the rest of their purchases. According to the announcement, they anticipate having a total of 15 wagons by early 2022.
At the end of the announcement, the library staff thanks all of the community members for “their interest and participation in this project.”
