The City of Hinton was filled with Christmas cheer over the weekend as the community gathered to celebrate the season. The fun began as people filled the area to hear live Christmas music at A Hometown Hinton Christmas sponsored by Hinton Hope Foundation. The following day, the streets filled with shoppers enjoying the many vendors and local businesses.
With all of the different vendors, food to enjoy, and decorations to admire, there was plenty to keep festival attendees busy. As the day wore down, more celebrating was in store as it became time for the annual Christmas parade. After the colorful parade, it was time to light the town’s Christmas tree.
Throughout the festivities, families enjoyed taking a carriage ride together.
Even though the festival is now over, the celebrations are not. The fun continues on Friday, Dec. 10 with the Mrs. Claus Market. Every item at the market will only cost $1 so kids can shop for their loved ones on a budget. There will also be a gift wrapping station available. Kids can shop between 5 and 7 p.m. at the McCreery event center which is where Mrs. Claus will have all of her goodies.
