Summers County Schools has plans to move their office location. Necessary renovations have been made to the old Summers Middle School cafeteria underneath the Perry Memorial Gym on Temple Street for the space to be turned into an office. Prince Construction won the formal bid and completed the renovations.
Once the move is completed, Hinton Area Elementary will take over the old BOE building. There will be a STEM Lab and some school offices there creating an HAE Annex. STEM is an educational initiative promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This will provide more space at HAE that those in the school system consider much needed.
The Board Office staff hopes to make the move towards the end of July- early Aug. The address after the move will be 418 Temple Street in Hinton.
