The Summers County Baseball team played their last regular-season game on Thursday, May 27. Summers County faced the Wyoming East Warriors.
Summers County got things started in the first inning when Logan Fox doubled, allowing Brandan Isaac to score.
Logan Fox was on the mound for Summers County, pitching a two-hit shut out (allowed no runs) during the six-inning game.
Levi Jones homered in the third. Brandan Isaac homered in the fourth. Daniel Mansfield homered in the fifth.
Summers County had 15 hits. Ben Lane, Isaac, Mansfield, and Jones each had multiple hits for Summers County. Isaac and Lane led with three. Mansfield and Jones had two hits. Maverick Harper, Fox, Will Taylor, Gracin Price, and Sam Whittaker each had a hit as well.
Jones and Isaac led in RBIs with three each. Price followed with two. Logan Fox, Mansfield, and Taylor each had an RBI each.
Isaac and Harper each stole one base. Isaac played a great game in the field and made the most plays with nine.
Summers County defeated Wyoming East in the ten-run-rule game, 11-0.
Summers County will begin sectional play on Tuesday, June 1 at Greater Beckley Christian.
