The Bobcat baseball team traveled to Mount View on Saturday, May 15 for a double-header against the Mount View Golden Knights. The first game lasted five innings and TJ Gill pitched the entire first game. Gill struck out eight. The Bobcats collected eight hits the first game; Ben Lane and Logan Fox each had two, while Luke Smith, Sam Whittaker, Maverick Harper and Xander Hudgins each had one. The Bobcats were walked 10 times and hit by pitches twice. The Bobcats stole a total of 11 bases. The first game’s score was 17-4.
The second game only lasted three innings and Will Taylor pitched, striking out four. The Bobcats had eight hits in the second game as well; two each for Ben Lane and Will Taylor, and one each for Logan Fox, Levi Jones, Sam Whittaker and Xander Hudgins. The Bobcats were walked eight times and hit by pitches twice. The Bobcats stole 14 bases, Ben Lane and Levi Jones having the most with three apiece. The score of the second game was 13-3.
