Summers County Sheriff’s Department has tracked and caught Marcus Andrew Lindsey in Cleveland, Ohio, thanks to a tip yesterday morning (March 24).
“We have been looking for Lindsey since mid-January when he violated parole, but, apparently feeling the pressure, Lindsey left the state. This morning (March 24) we received a tip that he was in Cleveland,” said Sheriff Justin Faris. “And Lindsey was arrested.”
Faris confirmed that Lindsey was on probation for felony drugs and weapons charges.
“The tip lead us directly to a residential location and (Lindsey) was found in the garage of the home where he surrendered peacefully,” Faris said.
Faris explained the tip came as a direct result of a Sheriff Department’s Facebook post.
“Lindsey is facing substantial time in prison,” Faris also said. “This is going to look bad for him because he violated parole and left the state.”
Lindsey was wanted for removing his home confinement tracker. The Facebook post on the Summers County Sheriff’s Department page was posted January 25, 2021.
