The Hinton Police Department has released crime statistics for the month of February.
Calls for Service were received 79 times last month.
Police Chief Nathan Allen shared the latest statistics with the Hinton City Council: with 79 calls for service; 45 traffic citations coming in second on a list of 12 categories. Number 3 on the department’s list for February 2021 was 33 traffic warnings, followed by seven misdemeanor reports, eight felony arrests, 22 drug-related offenses, 69 building checks, 2 motor vehicle crashes, 4 overdoses and 2 DUI related offenses.
Allen said a new daily activity and monthly activity form has been created by Sgt. Withrow and is expected to give the department a “more accurate representation of monthly stats and show more data.”
The Hinton Police Department provides statistics each month to the Hinton City Council.
