Vaccination Clinics in Hinton are being held for three days this week instead of two.
Now that those 16-year-olds and older can now pre-register and the vaccine is available, Summers County Health Department Administrator Chad Meadors said appointments are now being made for clinics Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. The clinics are being held at the Freight Depot.
Meadors tallied last week’s COVID-19 vaccinations to just over 600 administered last Wednesday and Thursday. This week, two days will be devoted to secondary inoculations, and the final day for primary shots.
Primary inoculations for 370 people will be given on Friday at the clinic, while today and tomorrow (March 17 and 18), those who have already received their initial dose will be inoculated. Altogether, there will be 970 total doses given this week.
Everyone must be pre-registered to receive the vaccine. After online registration or phone call into the state pre-registration site an appointment will be scheduled for you.
If you are uncomfortable going online, you can make a phone call to 833-734-0965 to pre-register or ask a friend or neighbor to help you register online at vaccinatewv@wv.gov.
