The votes have been tallied by the City of Hinton. Turnout was light and the levy passed 58-6. Voting totals from West End #4 were 8 votes for and 1 against; Hinton Area #9 resulted in 12 votes for the levy; Bellepoint #11, with the highest turnout, delivered 38 votes for and 5 against.
The city levy provides money for the Hinton fire and police departments, parks and local youth sports, paving city streets, health department and senior center, and helps support the Summers County Library, health department and senior center. This levy is not a tax increase and has been in place for over 50 years.
