The following is the Summers County Council on Aging menu for the rest of December:
Wednesday, December 16 — Red beans and cooked rice, cabbage, peach halves, whole wheat bread with margarine, and milk.
Thursday, December 17 — Lighter chicken salad, whole wheat bread, tomato vegetable soup, grapefruit sections and milk.
Friday, December 18 — Steak & peppers, au gratin potatoes, peas, mixed fruit, whole wheat bread with margarine, and milk.
Monday, December 21 — Skinless BBQ chicken, home-cooked baked beans, broccoli, strawberries, whole wheat bread with margarine, and milk.
Tuesday, December 22 — Baked pork chops, sweet potato souflee, spinach, applesauce, whole wheat bread with margarine, and milk.
Wednesday, December 23 — Ham, baked apples & sweet potatoes, mustard greens, Pineapple Upside Down cake, cornbread with margarine, and milk.
Thursday, December 24 — Center is closed.
Friday, December 25 — Center is closed.
Monday, December 28 — Tuna salad sandwich on whole wheat bread, mixed vegetable soup, carrot-raisin salad, orange pineapple gelatin and milk.
Tuesday, December 29 — Baked potatoes, Swiss cheese, shredded chives, deviled eggs, zucchini summer squash, cherry cobbler, whole wheat bread with margarine, and milk.
Wednesday, December 30 — Skinless oven-fried chicken, savory boiled potatoes, green beans, cantaloupe, biscuits with margarine, and milk.
