PIPESTEM, W.Va. (Hinton News) – Experience West Virginia’s autumn beauty like never before this season on the Pipestem Peaks Zipline Tour at Pipestem Resort State Park. Open through the end of October, the zipline offers visitors a one-of-a-kind way to take in the breathtaking scenery as the mountains transform into vibrant shades of red, gold, and orange.

The Pipestem Peaks Zipline stretches across the Bluestone River Gorge, giving adventurers a bird’s-eye view of the spectacular fall foliage. With nine zips ranging from 300 to 1,800 feet in length, plus three aerial bridges, riders can glide high above the treetops while soaking in sweeping views of the park’s rugged landscape.

“The autumn season is truly one of the best times to experience the Pipestem Peaks Zipline,” said Michael Buechler, CEO of Pipestem Adventures. “Flying over the colorful canopy and crisp mountain air makes for an unforgettable adventure.”

The tour is designed for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike, providing a safe, guided experience for participants ages 10 and up. Guests can expect professional guides, top-notch equipment, and memories to last a lifetime.

Zipliners can now return to the top of the gorge via the new tramway that has recently opened at Pipestem. The tramway ride offers stunning views of the trees and the terrain in the gorge.

Reservations are encouraged as fall weekends tend to book quickly. The zipline will remain open daily through October 31, 2025, weather permitting.

Reservations for Pipestem’s zipline are available by calling 1-833-WV-Parks (1-833-987-2757) or visiting www.wvstateparks.com. Reservations are required to secure preferred tour times for the zipline. Learn more about weight and age restrictions for the zipline at www.pipestemadventures.com.
