PIPESTEM, W.Va. (Hinton News) – Summer may be winding down, but there’s still time to make unforgettable memories before the school year begins! Pipestem State Park invites families to soak up the last sunny days at the Adventure Lake and Family Whitewater Experience—both of which will close for the season after Labor Day.

Adventure Lake, with its giant inflatables, splash zones, and sandy beach, offers hours of active fun for kids and adults alike. Meanwhile, the Family Whitewater Experience is the perfect way to cool off while paddling the scenic headwater of the New River on a guided trip suitable for all ages.

The summer fun doesn’t end there — Pipestem Peaks Zipline Tours are in full swing and will continue offering thrilling rides over the Bluestone Gorge until the end of October. Guests can soar more than 250 feet above the river on a series of breathtaking lines while enjoying unmatched views of the West Virginia mountains.

“This is the perfect chance to pack in those last adventures before school starts,” said Michael Buechler, CEO at Pipestem Adventures. “Whether it’s bouncing on inflatables at the lake, splashing through the rapids, or zipping high above the trees, Pipestem is the place to end summer on a high note.”

Families are encouraged to book their visits now to make the most of the remaining summer days. Reservations for Pipestem activities are available by calling 1-833-WV-Parks (1-833-987-2757) or visiting wvstateparks.com. Reservations are required to secure preferred tour times for the zipline. Learn more about weight and age restrictions for the zipline at www.pipestemadventures.com.
