SUMMERS COUNTY W.Va. (Hinton News) – The Summers County Archery Team and Coaches would like to thank the public again for their support this past summer that allowed two archers to compete in the championship at Daytona Beach. They also want to invite the community to their tournament at Summers County Comprehensive High School on Saturday, Feb. 15. They have a full day of flights scheduled starting at 8:30 a.m.

Officials said, “This year is our biggest event ever. We have 22 schools competing with a total of 437 archers shooting. Come spend the day and be amazed at the talent we have in Summers and our surrounding counties.”

Admission to the event is $5.

There will be concessions offering sausage biscuits and country ham sandwiches in the morning, walking tacos and hotdogs starting around 11 a.m., and candy, chips, pop, water and coffee. They will also be selling chances on a Matthew’s bow and a NASP bow – winners will be announced before awards. You do not have to be present to win.

Awards will follow after the last flight at approximately 7:45 p.m.
