HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – Nov. 30: The City of Hinton proudly announces its participation in Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30, inviting community members to shop local and support the small businesses that are vital to our economy and community spirit.
Small Business Saturday is a nationwide movement dedicated to celebrating and supporting local businesses. This year, Hinton is highlighting the unique offerings of our local entrepreneurs, reminding residents that their choices can have a significant impact on the community.
Dec. 7 and 14: Get ready to celebrate the holiday season with Hinton’s Hometown Christmas festivities.
On Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1-7 p.m., Hinton’s Hometown Christmas Festival will take place within the downtown historic district with vendors located in the McCreery Conference Center, the Boho Building, and on Temple Street. There will be free carriage rides, pictures with Santa and activities for children.
The Hinton Annual Christmas Parade will also take place on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. Watch as the streets come alive with holiday floats, music, and more. Following the Christmas Parade, the Tree Lighting ceremony will be held in the City Park located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Temple Street. Bring your family and friends for a night of joy and celebration.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, the Hinton’s Hometown Christmas Cookie & Art Walk will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets are required for participation in the Cookie Express portion of the walk.
Dec. 21-25: The City of Hinton is once again sponsoring the Hinton Christmas Decoration Competition: Enter by decorating the exterior of your home for a chance to win prizes. Don’t miss out on spreading cheer throughout the community. Applications should be submitted no later than Monday, Dec. 16 and can be found on the city’s website.
