CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Hintn News) – The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History (WVDACH) will open a new exhibition at the Culture Center, State Capitol Complex, in Charleston on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at 2 p.m. with a reception and awards ceremony. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
This exhibit, the 2024 West Virginia Emerging Artists Exhibition, features artwork by up-and-coming artists from an array of disciplines. Fifty-seven West Virginia artists, representing 23 counties were selected for the show, which features 80 pieces, including mixed media, craft, photography, digital art, painting, drawing, sculpture and print. The exhibit will remain on display in the balcony and theater galleries at the Culture Center until Feb. 2, 2025.
