A sunrise photo of Flat Mountain Missionary Baptist Church

ALDERSON W.Va. (Hinton News) – The Annual Music on the Mountain is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. at the Flat Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. The church is located at 4821 Flat Mountain Road, Alderson, WV 24910.

The community is invited to join the church for singing and fellowship on the Mountain. Joe Howard, the Appalachian John Wyatt, Cousin Lucy Baker, and many others will be singing praises unto the Lord. They have an open mic if you or your group would like to sing.

The event is outside, bring a lawn chair. FMMBC will provide sandwiches, chips and cold drinks. 

DIRECTIONS:

Flat Mountain Missionary Baptist Church is located on the Monroe side of Alderson. From the Senior Citizens Center in Alderson, turn left onto Flat Mountain Road, travel two miles, and bear right at the intersection. FMMBC is the first location on the right. FMMBC is exactly 2.1 miles from the town’s senior center.

Other service times: Sunday School is at 10 a.m. Sunday morning worship service is at 11 a.m. Mid-week service, Wednesdays beginning at 7 p.m. The Pastor is Randy S. Burdette.
