HINTON W.Va. (HINTON NEWS) – The City of Hinton is proud to announce this year’s Spirit of Hinton Honoree for 2023. Historically the city has chosen a local community volunteer who has notably given back to their community in some way. This year’s recipients, although city employees are no less deserving of recognition for what they are doing for our City. Please join me in thanking this year’s Spirit of Hinton Honorees, the City of Hinton’s Public Works Dept led by Billy Dan Gill.
From town cleanups, sidewalk repairs, road maintenance and more – the Public Works Department personnel have become true public servants. With the variety and volume of projects going on in Hinton currently, the need for a skilled workforce is essential. These men meet the challenge time and time again for the community.
A celebration for this year’s Spirit of Hinton Honorees (as well as the Snow King and Queen) will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 from noon-1:30 p.m.. A small reception and the Christmas Parade will be held in honor of Billy Dan Gill, Bucky Adkins, Adam Bragg, Anthony Gray, Danny Gill, John Collins, Geoff Stephens, Derrick Chewning, Brady Petrey, Dale Starks, Jason Robinson and Isaiah Adkins.
“Thank You City of Hinton Public Works Department for all you do for us!” -Mayor Jack Scott
