WESTFALL

Wesley L. “Chuck” Westfall, 73, of Tug Creek, passed away Wednesday April 19, 2023, at his home, following a sudden illness.

Born October 8, 1949, at Hinton, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Ethel “Nan” Ward Westfall. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1967 and then served his country during the Vietnam War as a Seabee in the United States Navy. Chuck retired from Burns Motor Freight and Lane Trucking, after many years of service, and was the proud owner of a 1931 Ford Street Rod. He was a member of the Hinton Elks Lodge #821 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Hinton Lodge #993. But most of all, Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all that knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 27 years, Barbara Kay Deeds Westfall; five children, Wendy Leigh “Lou Lou” Martin and husband, Ryan, Tina Marie “Sissy” Allen, Ashlie Dawn Westfall, Danielle “Dingle” Thompson, and Jessi “Mo” Thompson and companion, Roy Lee Graham; ten grandchildren, Coty, Kylie, Bryce, Katelyn, Jordan, Grace, Wesley, James Allen, Mason, and Oliver; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Harrison, and Laney; one brother, David L. Westfall and wife, Edith Ann; mother-in-law, Barbara Deeds; brother and sister-in-law, John and Kim Hawkins; and nieces and nephew, Christopher, Nicole, Samantha, and Kristin.

Funeral services were held 12 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial followed in the Bragg Cemetery at Longbottom. Friends could call from 10:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral parlors.

Ryan Martin, Coty Martin, Bryce Martin, John Hawkins, Nathan Allen, and Joe Rodes served as pallbearers.

Jordan Meadows, Wesley Meadows, James Allen Williams, Steven Belcher, Luther Wills, Roy Mitchem, and Mason Jones served as honorary pallbearers.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.ronaldmeadowsfp.com.

Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
