HINTON, (Hinton News) – Every year, Summers County FFA students cultivate plants in the Summers County Comprehensive High School Greenhouse. In spring, they hold a special sale for those plants to raise money for their program. The first two days of the event are always referred to as the “Secret Sale.” The official SCHS Greenhouse Facebook page recently announced the dates for the 2023 secret sale. Local plant enthusiasts will have the opportunity to support Summers FFA on May 6 and 7.

Additionally, in the announcement, organizers noted that the schedule has changed this year stating, “unfortunately, these changes are out of our hands, and despite these changes, we hope that you will still choose to come support the hard-working students of Summers FFA and the SCHS Greenhouse.”

The new schedule is as follows:

Saturday, May 6 – 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Sunday, May 7 – 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Monday, May 8 through Friday, May 12 – 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Saturday, May 13 – 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

According to the announcement, the product and price lists will soon be forthcoming. As always, the sale will be held at the greenhouse located at the high school.

For more information, visit the SCHS Greenhouse Facebook page or the “SECRET SALE” Facebook event page.
