TALCOTT, (Hinton News) – The John Henry Days committee recently held a contest to choose the theme for the 2023 festival parade. After the contest closed, representatives announced Lisa Abshire Stalnaker’s submission “Keeping the Legend Alive” as the winner. During the committee’s March meeting, Ann Rodes presented Stalnaker with a check for $26 in honor of the 26th anniversary of John Henry Days. Rodes, the owner of Sunshine Graphics, sponsored the award.
