WAYSIDE W.Va. (Hinton News) – The War Ridge Free Will Baptist Church held its Christmas play on Dec. 13. The play was an adaptation of the play “The Heretics.” The cast (left to right front row): Jayden Little, Hunter Mann, Jayson Little, Laura Rand, Havyn Salmons, Kyzer Salmons and Jacob Brogan; back row: Makenna Mann, Faye Mann, Brooke Fox, Susan Fox, Betty Richmond, Charles Osborne, Halie Osborne and Hailey Matney. The play told the story of a wealthy Jewish merchant and his family living in Bethlehem at the time of Jesus’ birth.

At the end of the Christmas program, the audience joined the cast for refreshments at the church fellowship hall.

Church officials said, “We wish to thank everyone who came out and made our program a success.”

The War Ridge Free Will Baptist Church is the only church on War Ridge Road; the address is 3134 War Ridge Road, Wayside. Sunday services are: Sunday School, 10 a.m., with Worship Service at 11 and Sunday Evening Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Kids’ Club start at 6 p.m. Officials said, “We hope to see you there.”
