Obituary: Roger Lee Wills, 71

WILLS

Roger Lee Wills, 71, of Hinton, passed away Monday May 23, 2022 at his home following a long illness.

Born September 2, 1950 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Jack and Vada Gill Wills.

Roger was an equipment operator and foreman for WV Land & Farm owned by John and Lynn Sanders. He was also a former employee of Turner Construction Company in Hinton. Roger was a Hinton High School graduate and a veteran of the US Army. He loved farming cattle and hogs, as well as fishing and spending time with his beloved family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Raymond, and Teddy Wills; and two sisters, Virginia Harvey and Janice Harmon.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Kessler Wills; one son, Mark Wills and wife, Amanda of Hinton; four daughters, Melissa Kesner and husband, Woody, Heaven Harrah and husband, Richard, and Raven and Karalee Wills all of Hinton; four sisters, Shirley Bowling and husband, Keith, Cassie Chewning and husband, Darrell, Angeline Crewey and husband, Ray, and Anita Cox and husband, Cecil, all of Hinton; seven grandchildren, Kayla Kesner, Kristen Kesner, Jacob Adkins, Josh Adkins, Brianna Wills, Mason Harrah, and Aneva Harrah; two great-grandchildren, Sunshine Colaiseno and Braxton Morrison; several nieces and nephews also survive.

At Rogers request, the body has been cremated, and there will no public services. Interment will be in the Wills Family Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
