According to a statement made by the Hinton Police Department (HPD) on Tuesday, Nov. 23, they have been “busy over the last few days doing a Drug Round Up.” This is a result of bench warrants that were issued by the Summers County Circuit Court. According to the statement, these warrants were issued after the Summers County Grand Jury (November 2021) found a total of 23 felony charges to have true bills.

These felony charges stem from “recorded controlled drug purchases facilitated by K9 Patrolman J.C. Wheeler with the Hinton Police Department and with the assistance of Former Patrolman/Current Deputy J.S. Ward.”

The statement goes on to state that a total of nine individuals have been issued warrants. The charges related to the warrants include Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance.

Of the nine individuals who were issued warrants, only three remain “wanted.” Those arrested include Jeannie Lynn Adkins, 50; Larry Morton Jarrells Jr, 30; Cory Marshall Fullen, 33; Arbutus Ann Culbertson, 51; Danny Ray Galloway, 58; Russell Lee Adkins, 55. All of Hinton.

The Hinton Police Department is still looking for Daniel Lee Adkins, 49; Angela Nicole Crouse, 33; Rebecca Renee McDonald, 33. All of Hinton. In the statement, Hinton Police Department urges anyone with information on the three wanted individuals to contact authorities right away. This can be done by calling HPD at 304-466-4657. If it is after hours, call the Summers County Dispatch Non-Emergency line at 304-466-3333.
