The Summers County High School Bobcats will have their first football game a day early on Thursday, August 26 at Garten Stadium.
The game is against the PikeView High School Panthers and has been given a special name by the two teams. While both schools are in their own counties, the Bluestone Lake is situated between the two. For that reason, they are calling the game “Battle of the Bluestone.” Summers County’s new head coach Josh Evans got together with PikeView High School’s coach and designed a trophy that the winning team will receive.
According to the Summers County High School Athletic Department’s Facebook Page, tickets will be $5 if bought from the school office or $6 at the gate. Tickets will not be sold at the school office between the hours of 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Season passes will also be sold at the gate for $25 and those get you access to all home games.
Come out and support Summers County’s team!
