The Bradshaw Creek Bridge on CR 33 Seminole Road in Summers County is undergoing structural replacement and expected to remain closed until Halloween.
The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) has said the work on the structure replacement at milepost 2.10 to 2.20 on Seminole Road began with expectations the work would continue until October 29, 2021, “barring any unforeseen circumstances.”
WVDOH District Nine Construction Engineer Greg Hylton said “this section of the road will be closed until the work is completed. Detours are in place, but detours are not suitable for large trucks or trucks with trailers.”
WVDOH has expressed apologies for the inconvenience this work may cause citizens and guests to the area. Motorists are asked to observe all traffic control signs and devices and use caution while traveling around the work zone.
“Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule,” according to the division of highways.
