Neighbors waiting together after receiving second doses COVID-19 vaccine chat elated their entire Courthouse Square block has been completely covered.
Summers County Health Department administrator Chad Meador said the third day at the Freight Depot on Commercial Street is dedicated to residents, of varying ages, receiving primary doses. Those still awaiting an appointment need to be pre-registered on the statewide website vaccinate.wv.gov or by telephone at 833-734-0965.
Meador said nearly a thousand people are receiving vaccines in Summers County this week over the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday clinics. Next week, the health department staff and volunteers will return to having the two-day schedule at the depot.
