This Saturday, Dec. 12, Hinton Historic Landmarks Commission AmeriCorps member, Candice Helms is doing a clean-up of Esquire Cemetery. She hopes to clean any dead foliage and fallen trees in the older section. She also wants to fill in some sunken graves with dirt. In the future, she wants to pursue getting the cemetery nominated on the National Register to help protect and preserve it. She invites you to volunteer and help in being part of preserving our community’s rich history.
