Over 50 volunteers representing an organization called Men and Women of Action and the Appalachian Christmas project have come to Lifeline Church in Hinton WV. The volunteers come from more than five different states. They brought with them trucks and trailers full of coats, food and other items that will be given away on Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Registration is required, forms can be picked up at Lifeline Church in Hinton. Those in need can register on the day of the event.
The best part of the event happens Saturday as the volunteers also brought with them Christmas presents for the kids. All kids under the age of 16 who show up will receive Christmas presents.
This group has traveled to hurting communities in the Appalachian region for 21 years helping to bring some help to those in need.
