Today is another historic day for The West Virginia Daily News family; the moment when the Hinton News returns to your doorstep and newsstands.
Although the base of operations and location of the printing press is Lewisburg, some local employees have returned following March’s closure to continue serving the Hinton area. On page 2, you can find those familiar faces, meet new people excited to share local news and some of the people who have made these pages happen for several years now, including the men in the pressroom who have diligently printed your paper each week for many years now.
Continuing with its traditional community feel, the Hinton News is seeking local and regional news. In normal times, community events, church happenings, family celebrations, organizational meetings and more are everyday occurrences, but the current situation has put a damper on gatherings. That said, there are still things happening in the region, and the Hinton News wants to share them. This is your newspaper, so submit articles and/or pictures informing Summers County of whatever exciting events you create, instigate or happen upon to hintonnews@wvdn.com.
