You are hereby given notice, on accordance with West Virginia State Code § 7-1-3ff, the Summers County Commission (hereafter “Commission”) is authorized and empowered to regulate dilapidated structures within Summers County, which they do through the Dilapidated Structures Ordinance of Summers County, WV. An external inspection of the property was completed by our code enforcement agency. It is the recommendation of the enforcement agency for the property to be demolished and debris removed. The Commission is issuing this order for the demolition of the structure within 30 days of this notice or the Commission may impose daily civil monetary penalties which shall not exceed $50.00 per day thereafter. The Order may authorize the Commission to have the right to enter onto the property and execute the demolition.
If you disagree with the recommendations of the enforcement agency or if you wish to discuss your corrective actions for the property with the Commission, a written request for a hearing can be made within 10 days of this notice by sending it via mail or dropping it off to the County Clerk, Lynn Reed, at 120 Ballengee Street, Suite 104, Hinton, WV 25951.
