SUMMERS COUNTY W.Va. (Hinton News) – Looking for a best friend with a heart of gold and a whole lot of love to give? Say hello to Charlie, a senior sweetheart who’s ready to spend his golden years right by your side.

Charlie was found wandering alone and brought to a local vet in hopes his family would come for him—but no one ever did. Now this resilient boy is searching for a forever home where he can finally settle in and be cherished.

Mostly blind, fully unstoppable! Charlie may not see the world clearly, but you’d never know it by watching him live life to the fullest. He’s active, energetic, and doesn’t let anything slow him down. What he really wants is a seeing-eye human—someone to be his guide, his couch buddy, his walking partner, and his snack-sharing pal.

Social butterfly alert! Charlie gets along well with other dogs (as long as they respect his stuffed monkey—that toy is sacred) and he’s cat-friendly too. He’s met kids preschool-age and up, seniors using wheelchairs and scooters, and even brave youngsters on bikes and skateboards. Nothing fazes this friendly guy—not even men with beards and hats (a true hero among dogs).

A little extra care, a lot of extra love Charlie does take daily heart medication for a congenital heart defect, but he’s still full of pep and enthusiasm and has plenty of life—and love—left to give.

If you can offer a home free of stuffed-monkey theft and full of kindness, companionship, and cuddles, Charlie would absolutely love to meet you. Adopt Charlie and gain a loyal friend who will be by your side forever.
