SUMMERS COUNTY, W.Va. (Hinton News) — A man wearing a Santa costume and sporting green hair was arrested recently following a dramatic foot chase in Talcott that involved his dog, thrown onions, and a musical vacuum cleaner, according to the Summers County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies with the department’s Team 900 responded to a report of a suspicious person lurking in the Talcott area. Upon making contact with the green-haired individual, a foot pursuit began.

According to a release from the department, the suspect attempted to evade apprehension by having his dog, Max, attack the deputies. The individual also threw several onions at the officers.

Deputies were forced to deploy tasers to subdue the suspect and take him into custody.

Authorities said they recovered a peculiar piece of evidence from the scene: a “magical vacuum that will not stop playing Christmas music.”

The strange incident took a final twist after the suspect was arraigned. The Sheriff’s Department reported that bond was posted by an individual “only known as Krampus.”

The department is urging the public to “keep an eye out” for the individual, stating they believe he is “up to no good.”
