HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – The Hinton Area Foundation (HAF) is excited to announce the appointment of Christina Cochran as its new Executive Director. With a strong background in nonprofit management, grant compliance, and strategic program development, Christina is poised to lead the Foundation into its next chapter of growth, focusing on creating positive, sustainable change for the community.
“I am truly honored to join the Hinton Area Foundation and look forward to collaborating with local leaders, community members, and partners to build upon the Foundation’s success,” said Cochran. “My goal is to further elevate the Foundation’s role as a pillar in Hinton, expanding our outreach and supporting initiatives that align with the evolving needs of our residents. I am a local, living up in Jumping Branch and spending the majority of my leisure time in our local parks and outdoor recreation areas. I truly care about this community. My two young children are my motivation for wanting to see this area thrive – it is our job to create a place where our young people have opportunities to learn, grow, and feel safe and supported. I am elated to be able to serve our community by leading the Hinton Area Foundation.”
“We are thrilled to have Christina on board,” said Greg Vandall, Chairperson of the Board for the Hinton Area Foundation. “Her experience in nonprofit leadership, commitment to community service, and passion for transparency and equity make her an ideal fit for our mission. We are confident she will lead us to even greater success in the years ahead.”
In her new role as Executive Director, Christina aims to further strengthen HAF’s community partnerships and outreach programs, focusing on grant compliance, donor relationships, and creating inclusive strategies to empower Hinton’s residents.
