APPALACHIAN POWER COMPANY and

WHEELING POWER COMPANY

Application to change depreciation rates.

NOTICE OF HEARING

On August 2, 2024, Appalachian Power Company and Wheeling Power Company (the Companies) filed an application to change depreciation rates pursuant to Rule 20 of the Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure, 150 C.S.R., Series 1 (Procedural Rules) (Application).  In order to comply with the requirements of Procedural Rule 20, the Companies filed a Depreciation Study, Depreciation Study Workpapers, and Dismantlement Studies. The Companies filed their witnesses’ direct testimony on September 3, 2024.

The Commission set a procedural schedule, including an evidentiary hearing on the Application that will begin at 9:30 a.m. on April 9, 2025 and continuing April 10, 2025 if necessary, in the Howard M. Cunningham Hearing Room at the Commission’s offices at 201 Brooks Street, Charleston, West Virginia.  The Commission may cancel the hearing for good cause shown. Interested persons intending to attend the hearing should monitor the web docket.

The Commission will receive public comments until the beginning of the hearing.  All written comments should state the case name and number and be addressed to the Commission Executive Secretary, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323.
