HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) – Danny Lee Cook Jr., of Hinton, was arrested on Nov. 5, for allegedly damaging his grandparents’ home and domestic assault.

According to reports, Cook caused significant damage to his grandparents’ home. A witness allegedly stated that the damage included tearing down basement ceiling tiles, damaging the furnace, and breaking a water heater, causing an estimated $1,500 in damages.

Cook also allegedly assaulted an individual. The victim reportedly noted an earlier incident as well, allegedly stating that Cook threw her son across a room during an argument on Nov. 1, and later struck her in the face when she confronted him.

According to reports, Cook has a history of domestic battery convictions dating back to 2011, with the most recent conviction occurring in 2022.
The investigations into the latest allegations against Cook are ongoing. At the time of writing, Cook is not listed as an inmate at  Southern Regional Jail.
