Pipestem Provides Relief During Hot Weather

PIPESTEM W.Va. (Hinton News) – During the hot summer days, Pipestem Adventures is the perfect destination to beat the heat.  The first stop for outdoor fun is the Adventure Lake at Pipestem.  Both kids and adults will enjoy climbing on the giant inflatable mountains, slides and trampolines that will launch them into the air before splashing down into the cool water. This year Pipestem has added 10 new inflatable designs set up in an obstacle course fashion. Friendly lifeguards are on hand to safely supervise the fun. The sandy beach provides a great spot to wind down on a lounge chair and enjoy the sun and scenery.  Parents can also take their younger kids to the Splash Park and Kids’ Zone where they can slide and run through spraying flowers, animals and fountains.

Another way to cool off is to soar through the treetops on the Pipestem Peaks zipline tour.  The zipline is one of the state’s top attractions with 9 ziplines up to 1,600 feet in length.  Adventurers can sail on lines that cross over the Bluestone River Gorge three times at heights of 300 feet and speeds up to 50 mph. There’s nothing like the wind in your hair to relieve the heat.  Two professional guides accompany a group of eight guests and follow the highest safety standards in the industry.  The guides share their enthusiasm and knowledge for ziplining, the history of Pipestem State Park and information on the flora and fauna in the area.

Another source of fun that should not be missed while at the State Park is the Pipestem Adventure Zone.  The Adventure Zone offers more fun in one place than you can experience in a single day. Visitors can choose from 9 exciting activities to create a full-day adventure extravaganza with skeet shooting, laser tag, remote-controlled cars on paved and off-road race tracks, 3D archery, axe throwing, miniature golf, disc golf, electric motor-assisted bikes and pedal bikes.

Visitors can view all of the activities at www.pipestemadventures.com. From there they can go to www.wvstateparks.com or call 1-833-WV-Parks (1-833-987-2757) to simply choose their travel date, book their accommodations and begin selecting and booking the adventures that will make their vacation the most memorable. Advance booking is recommended to secure preferred tour times for the zipline.
