Summers County Public Library to Host Dandelion Jelly Making Event

HINTON, W.Va. (Hinton News) — Dandelion enthusiasts and culinary adventurers alike are invited to the Summers Co. Public Library on June 8, to embark on a flavorful journey in creating and canning dandelion jelly.

With spring in full bloom, what better way to celebrate than by transforming these sunny blossoms into a delectable spread? Hosted by the library, the event promises an educational and enjoyable experience for participants aged 16 and up.

Karen Richmond has generously offered her expertise in canning alongside the provided recipe, ensuring that attendees will leave equipped with the knowledge and skills to recreate this delicacy at home.

Admission is free.

Interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP by calling 304-466-4490 to secure their spot for what promises to be a popular event.

“Dandelion Jelly Making” is not only a chance to learn a new culinary skill but also an opportunity to connect with fellow community members in a creative and engaging setting. Participants can expect a hands-on experience, where they’ll learn the art of transforming dandelion blossoms into a flavorful jelly that can be enjoyed for months to come.
