PIPESTEM W.Va. (Hinton News) – Marine Corps League Detachment #1461 (Sgt Mecot Camara Detachment), in conjunction with the American Brother Foundation, is kindly sponsoring the 2nd Annual USMC Sgt. Mecot Camara Memorial Ruck on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 8 a.m. until 10:45 p.m.

It is being Held at:
Blue Stone State Park, Hinton, WV 2104 Bluestone Park Rd. Hinton WV 25951. This 10-mile ruck starts at The Bluestone Turnpike Trail and runs from Bluestone State Park to Pipestem Resort State Park.

USMC Sgt. Mecot Camara was killed in the Beirut Bombing of 1983. The Foundation was created in honor of the founder’s brother, USMC Sgt.Mecot Camara.

Please join the organizers at the ruck. This event is an opportunity to provide the Beirut Veterans, Gold Star Families, and the local community a chance to come together in honor of those fallen heroes who did not come home.
