HINTON, (Hinton News) – American Pro Wrestling will be returning to Hinton, WV on Friday Night May 26 with a HUGE card of classic Pro Wrestling Action at the Old Jr High Gym at 418 Temple St. in Hinton. Bell time is 7:15 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Former WWF/WWE tag team champion and West Virginia native Henry Godwinn will be teaming up with George South Jr. to take on APW Tag Team Champions, the MEGALODONS, with the belts on the line, and NWA legend George South in their corner.
The American Heavyweight Champion, Alexander Apollo, will be defending that title against the number one contender, and second-generation wrestler, Cuban Assassin. These two have never met in the ring, and the Cuban has vowed to leave Hinton with the title.
Other great match-ups include a grudge match from our last event in Hinton on March 31, with James Anthony facing his former partner, Bobby Yela, who turned on him after their tag team title loss, and Baron Bullard, “Dragon” Scott Lee, Mega Destroyer, and Dre White, will also be in action in Hinton.
This event is courtesy of the Summers County Board of Education and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the charity American Sportsmen for Disabled Children.
American Pro Wrestling takes pride in presenting classic pro wrestling events like you remember from the 1970s and 1980s and had a great response the last time we were in Hinton in March, and look forward to an even bigger attendance at this follow-up event on May 26.
Advance Tickets are on sale now at the Summers County School Board Office in Hinton.
