Glenna Faye Bragg Bailey

Glenna Faye Bragg Bailey, 80, of Hinton, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 13, 2023, at her home following a long illness.

Born January 19, 1943, in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Lena Bragg. A homemaker who loved puzzle books, playing bingo, scrapbooking local history, watching wrestling and family feud, and telling stories about her childhood. Glenna loved the Lord Jesus, singing in church, and she enjoyed copying hymns from the church hymnal in her own hand. Her loving children will miss her dearly.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Sims and James Bailey; one daughter, Sheila Harrah; one brother, Junior Bragg; three sisters, Geneva Sims, Eula Bennett, Imogene Thompson; and two other sisters who passed away as infants.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Teresa Lena Sims formerly of Hinton but residing now in Frankfurt, KY; one son, Johnny Sims and wife, Jennifer, of Hinton; one son-in-law, Johnny Harrah of Hilldale; seven grandchildren, Julian Settle, Crystal Settle, J.W. Harrah, Jeremiah Sims, Thornton O’Dell, Ashley Blair, and Stellia Blair; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Bragg; one sister, Juanita Setliff; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bragg Family Cemetery. Friends may come and visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern WV and the Summers County Council on Aging.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.ronaldmeadowsfp.com.

Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
