HINTON, (Hinton News) – The Lady Bobcats crushed the competition in their last game before sectionals. After battling against Greenbrier West on Monday, Feb. 13, Summers County’s girl’s team came out victorious with a final score of 59-34, putting the team at 18-4 for the season.
Gracie Harvey led the scoring with 21 points. Sullivan Pivont added 17, Abby Persinger 8, Liv Meador 4, Avery Lilly 3, Ashley Cooper 3, and Kaylee Jones 3.
The Lady Bobcats will host Bluefield for the first round of Sectional Play on Monday, Feb. 20. The game begins at 7 p.m.
The JV team, unfortunately, fell to Greenbrier West in their match, 41-50. Kaylee Cole led the scoring for JV with 25 points. Kensi Plumley added 8. Hadley Bennett, Tara Lilly, Layla Northern and Braelyn Farrish each added 2.
