SUMMERS COUNTY, (Hinton News) – Summers County’s Lady Bobcats and Shady Spring’s Lady Tigers took to Wayne Ryan Court in Hinton on Tuesday, December 20. The Lady Bobcats triumphed over the Lady Tigers 65-22.
This match-up must’ve been one with some nostalgia for Shady’s Coach, Tabitha Barnes. Barnes is from Summers County and once played as a Lady Bobcat under Coach Wayne Ryan.
For Summers County, Gracie Harvey led the scoring with 19 points. Abby Persinger followed with 10. Liv Meador and Avery Lilly each contributed 9 points. Many other Lady Bobcats also contributed to the win. See the score report below.
Harvey, who led the scoring, commented on the win. “Coach told us start off the game with a fast pace and get things done. That’s what we did.” Harvey stated.
Kendra Pizzino led the scoring for the Lady Tigers with 6 points. Kylee Barnes and Braylie Wiseman followed with 4 points.
Next, the Lady Bobcats will travel to Bluefield to take on the Lady Beavers on Thursday, December 22. Their next home game will be on Tuesday, December 27, at 7:30 p.m. against Wyoming East.
